Environmental Analysis Laboratory established under the Waste Water Treatment Department started to give services in 2004.

      Waste water, potable water, sludge and soil analysis are being carried out in our laboratory.

      Metal analysis of potable water, sludge and soil are done by using microwave digestion unit and ICP-OES -Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer.

      In our laboratory waste water, that is brought by industries in our city and Kayseri Environmental and Forest Department which is auditor for the waste water discharging to the receiving body is being analysed. Waste water samples are being sent to our laboratory also by the surrounding cities like Sivas, Kırşehir, Nevşehir, Yozgat and Kırıkkale.

      Our laboratory infrastructure in respect of both personnel and apparatus is sufficient. We give services with 6 personnel as total, 1 chemical engineer, 3 chemists, 1 biologist and 1 chemical technician.

      Our Laboratory has been accredited for 12 parameters by TÜRKAK (Turkish Accreditation Body) according to the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Turkish Standard “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”. Accreditation scope comprises the
Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Phosphor, Ortho Phosphor, Suspended Solids (SS), Chromine+6, Nickel (Ni), Chromium (Cr), Cupper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe) and Lead (Pb) parameters for waste water.

      Preserving the confidential rights of customers and realising the analysis as true and impartial is main principle of our laboratory. Due to this samples are accepted by the sample acceptance unit and codes are given to the samples and samples are delivered to the laboratory staff who make analysis with this code. Staff who makes the analysis does not know to whom the sample belongs to. Samples are being followed by code number in laboratory.
