The aim of this department is to give information regarding the Laboratory and water analyses which is one of the facilities of Kayseri Water and Sewerage Directorate and to give information about the potable water of Kayseri. Kaski General Directorate disinfects collecting depots in every district where it assures potable water from 13 different districts, afterwards given to city network for our people.

   For analysing, chemical and bacteriologic water samples are taken three times a week from the wells which are providing water to our city and these analyses are investigated in our laboratories. Disinfection process in our water depots are continuously under control and we take pains to let our poeple drink clean water. In all our depots 0,1-0,5 (mg/l) active chlorine amount is supplied which has been informed by Ministry of Health and this points out that our potable water is according to TSE Standards.

Potable water in our city is between 5-15 french degree according to rigor and it shows that our city is very lucky regarding potable water. According to TSE, permission is given to the waters until 50 french degree so it is clearly seen how Kayseri reached the quality regarding the water. Moreover in Eğribucak, Beştepeler and Kergah Bağları the received water is between 5-7 French degree and it is equal to the quality which is sold outside. Our water has such a good quality that in every part of the city people can use potable water from the taps.

Taken samples are analysed daily in our laboratory. In our laboratory, we have apparatuses which are according to the new technology. In our laboratory for chemical and bacteriologic researches we have PH meter, spectrophotometer, flamephotometer, pure water apparatus, otoclave, oven, magnetic stir, dissolved oxygen device, turbidmeter, sensitive balance, digital burette, automatic pipette and a lot of apparatus and chemical equipment.

According to the request from our people, samples are taken from the apartments in the same day, being investigated in our laboratoies and results are sent to houses where samples are taken as a report. In the apartments, it is announced to our people in the window part of the entrance. Moreover in the places where water is consumed too much such as schools, restaurants, bakeries, mosques, factories, workhops etc. samples are taken, investigated in our laboratories and results are given as a report, afterwards report is announced by displaying in the public areas.

    Moreover according to the request from our people, private well waters are analysed by charge. Information is given to our people regarding the water and water analyses. People can obtain all the documents and information regarding the water by connecting us.
