PROJECTS AND INVESTMENTS

   Our General Directorate is carrying out its works in the borders of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality by focusing human being services from establishment day to today.

   Our target is to serve used and polluted water by eliminating in a shortest and harmless way without damaging the ecological balance and to serve the water in a quality, economical, continuous and easiest way for the human being which has a vital importance for the human being. In this direction for to eliminate the problem which obstructs the continuity of the existing network services and for to serve the subscribers that can not use the city network "potable water projects" were added to investment program in 2004.

   While serving the human needs, human health and environment must not be undervalued. Due to this reason waste waters has to be collected and taken away from the settlement areas and has to be discharged to the proper area in an harmless way. Every year we carry out Sewerage network construction projects and in 2004 we will continue by adding a new project.

   Focus of Kaski General Directorate is to convey water to the last subscribers in the inhabited districts and to take back the used water from inhabited district to the receiver area in a proper way.

A-SEWERAGE AND VARIOUS SUPERSTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION WHICH WILL BE EXECUTED BY KASKI'S BUDGET
A.1- SEWER CONSTRUCTION IN HOCA AHMET YESEVİ STREET
Explanation of Project: Sewerage line construction in various districts of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Street.
Aim of the Project : To discharge the wastewaters of houses in Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Street.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 : (960.000.000.000x1.25) = 1.200.000.000.000.-TL
Concrete pipe that will be used (Concrete Pipe) :
Ø 200 : 1500 mt.
Ø 300 : 6000 mt.
Ø 400 : 500 mt.
Total : 8.000 mt.
A.2- SEWER CONSTRUCTION IN ZÜMRÜT STREET
Explanation : Sewer line construction by prefabricated concrete pipes in various districts of Zümrüt Street.
Aim of the Project: To discharge the wastewater in Zümrüt Street.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 :(1.080.000.000.000x1.25)=1.350.000.000.000.-TL

Explanation: Sewer line construction by prefabricated concrete pipes in various districts of Saray Bosna and Fevzioğlu Streets.
Aim of the Project: Subscriber parcel connection in Saray Bosna and Fevzioğlu Streets.

Aim of the Project: To discharge the wastewaters in Ziya Gökalp-Yenidoğan Street.

Aim of the Project : To discharge the wastewaters in Gediris-Erenköy Street.

Cost of 2004 : (860.000.000.000 x 1.25) =1.075.000.000.000.-TL

A.7-SECURITY SYSTEM
Explanation: To control the security of water production and depot centers with the electronic security system which supplies potable water to Kayseri and to protect with the infrared ray fences.
Aim of the Project: To transfer the water to Gediris Transmission Station, the Gediris depot and Sakarya depot with the remote control without personnel.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004: (60.000$x1.920.000) =115.200.000.000.-TL.
A.8-CHLORINE SYSTEM
Explanation: To include chlorine automatically the system where potable water of Kayseri is supplied .include the automatic chlorine system into the potable water of Kayseri.
Aim of the Project: Homogeneous chlorine will be supplied from Beştepeler, Keykubat, Karpuzatan and Eğribucak Transmission Stations according to flow and scada will be informed regarding the amount of chlorine.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 : (112.000x1.920.000)=215.040.000.000.-TL.
A.9-SCADA SYSTEM
Explanation: To transfer the water production and depots by remote control where potable water of Kayseri is supplied.
Aim of the Project: To integrate new stations to the existing Scada System and rehabilitation of it.

A.10-WELL BUILDINGS, DRILLING EQUIPMENTS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS
Explanation: 12 Nos .Wells which were opened by İller Bank for our General Directorate then well buildings were constructed in area with electrical and electronically equipments that were mounted in the buildings.
Aim of the Project: It is requested to activate the opened wells so as to treat potable water which is given to network.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004: 650.000$x1.920.000=1.248.000.000.000.TL.
A.11- PROTECTION OF THE STEEL PIPE LINE BY CATHODES METHOD
Explanation: This system which is called as cathodes method is protected the existing steel pipe line against to the corrosion.
Aim of the Project: To increase the lifetime of the steel pipes due to expensiveness of erection, commissioning and maintenance costs.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 : (120.000.000.000x1,25)=150.000.000.000.-TL.
A.12-MAHRUMLAR TRANSMISSION STATION AND EQUIPMENTS
Explanation: To transfer the water from 6 drilling well to depot. In addition to two drilling wells in Mahrumlar, 2 wells were opened in 2001 and 1 well was opened in 2003.
Aim of the Project: To transmit the water ,which will be obtained from 6 wells, to depot in a cheapest cost.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 : (800.000.000.000x1,25) = 1.000.000.000.000.-TL.
A.13-CONSTRUCTION OF LARGE STORE BUILDING
Explanation : To construct store building so as to protect potable water fittings spare parts and equipments in Germiraltı potable water facilities.
Aim of the Project : Machinery and Purchasing Department needs to have closed area to be able to keep safely the water equipments ,fittings and pipes so large store building is constructed by our administration.

Estimated Project Cost:

Cost of 2004 : (120.000.000.000 x 1.25) = 150.000.000.000.-TL
A.15-PAYMENT OF EXPROPRIATION AND ACCESS
Explanation:General Directorate of Kaski executed many projects in different areas of the city, sometimes we have to pass the personal areas which can be called personal and institutional areas so to pass the personal and institutional areas our administration needs to have that areas to add its own. To get the personal and institutional areas, our administration has to make payments to them.
Aim of the Project : To be able not to break our services to the people and having the personal and institutional areas to our own .So the services will continue regularly.
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 : 1.050.000.000.000.-TL.

B-POTABLE WATER CONSTRUCTION WORKS WHICH ARE EXECUTED BY USING KASKI'S BUDGET
B.1-CONSTRUCTION OF POTABLE WATER NETWORK IN ERENKÖY (GEDIRIS) DISTRICT
Explanation : In Erenköy (Gediris Bağları) District, the population is increasing day by day so the district is improved by municipality. Our administration was constructed a water depot and potable water network which can supply the water to the network for that district.

Aim of the Project : The south area of the Erenköy (Gediris) and Çay Bağları disrtict our administration have executed potable water network.Under the that project we supplied potable water to the buildings.
Estimated Project Cost:

Cost of 2004 : (600.000.000.000x1,25 )= 750.000.000.000.- TL
Potable water pipes which will be used :
Ø100 mm PE Pipe : 6000 mt.
Ø150 mm PE Pipe : 2000 mt.
Ø200 mm PE Pipe : 1000 mt.
Total 9000 mt.

B.2- TALAS DEPOT POTABLE WATER NETWORK REHABILITATION CONSTRUCTION

Explanation: The Talas network main depot ( Capacity : 15.000 m³) was build in 1987 by İller Bank.The network was old, it had defected oftenly that’s why rehabilitation construction was done.
Aim of the Project : The Pipe line is through the Erciyes University , Aşık Veysel Boulevard, Sivas Street ve Tuna Street and oftenly defected . The former water network was replaced with the steel pipes
Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 :(1.100.000.000.000x1,25)= 1.375.000.000.000.-TL.

Potable water pipes which will be used:

Ø300 mm DI Pipe : 480 mt.
Ø350 mm DI Pipe : 1100 mt.
Ø400 mm DI Pipe : 1070 mt.
Ø500 mm Steel Pipe : 350 mt.
Ø600 mm Steel Pipe : 350 mt.
Ø800 mm Steel Pipe : 2800 mt.
Total 6250 mt.

B.3- KEYKUBAT DEPOT POTABLE WATER NETWORK REHABILITATION CONSTRUCTION
Explanation: The Keykubat network main depot ( Capacity : 10.000 m³) was build in 1988 by İller Bank.The network was old, it had defected that’s why rehabilitation construction was done.
Aim of the Project : The ACP Pipe line is through Yenidoğan District, Bağdat Street, Erkilet Boulevard and oftenly defected. The former water network was replaced with the steel pipes.

Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 :(900.000.000.000x1,25)= 1.125.000.000.000.-TL.

Potable water pipes which will be used:

Ø500 mm Steel Pipe : 550 mt.
Ø600 mm Steel Pipe : 2200 mt.
Ø700 mm Steel Pipe : 1100 mt.
Ø800 mm Steel Pipe : 1000 mt.
Total 4850 mt.
B.4- BEŞTEPELER DEPOT POTABLE WATER NETWORK REHABILITATION CONSTRUCTION
Explanation: The Bestepeler network main depot ( Capacity : 15.000 m³) was build in 1988 by Iller Bank. The network was old it had defected, that’s why rehabilitation construction was done.
Aim of the Project : The ACP Pipe line is through from Nazımbey street to Düvenönü, from Camikebir District to Park Street, also from Fırat Street to Kazım Karabekir District and it was defected. The former water network was replaced with the steel pipes.

Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 :(800.000.000.000x1,25)= 1.000.000.000.000.-TL.

Potable water pipes which will be used:

Ø100 mm DI Pipe : 2000 mt.
Ø350 mm DI Pipe : 600 mt.
Ø400 mm DI Pipe : 550 mt.
Ø500 mm Steel Pipe : 750 mt.
Ø600 mm Steel Pipe : 400 mt.
Ø700 mm Steel Pipe : 300 mt.
Total 4600 mt.

B.5-SUB-DISTRICT POTABLE WATER REHABILITATION CONSTRUCTION
Explanation: Under the potable water rehabilitation project, former networks was replaced with the DI Pipes and PE Pipes.
Aim of the Project :In many districts of our city, there are many potable water networks the pipes were cast iron and ACP which were old so there was water leakage. Against to water leak, potable water pipes were replaced with DI pipe, PE pipe and PVC pipe.

Estimated Project Cost:
Cost of 2004 :(1.500.000.000.000x1,25)= 1.875.000.000.000.-TL.
